Burton is a name synonymous with strange and unusual, yet oddly delightful, and this boy lives up to the title! Life didn't start out great for Burton, and we are working on undoing a few year's worth of being tied up and ignored. Imagine the toll that it takes on a hyper young mind! Do not pity this pittie because he lives in the present. He has a contagious amount of joy all day, every day, and it's his mission to ensure you're having fun along with him! Even when he's being a complete turd, there's something about Burton that makes you happy.

 

Where do we even start with this guy?! With strikingly good looks and piercing eyes, it's easy for him to grab your attention. His hysterical personality is what's going to keep you wanting more! There is never a dull moment with Burton around. His foster parents joke that he's a "Burd Brain" when he's bouncing around like a dope, but he actually is quite intelligent! It's hard to contain yourself when you're always so happy, and he prances around all day. While he's not really into balls, he loves tossing a rope toy or chasing a flirt pole.

 

Burdy is pretty excited about the idea of making dog friends! Perhaps a little too excited. He's a typical pesky little brother. His doggie foster sister is working on training him to tone it down, but he's slowly convincing her that he's pretty awesome. She'll give in and wrestle with him for a bit, but the humans must let him know when it's time to calm down. Once he finds a comfy spot and something nice to chew, he's content to chomp and keep to himself.

 

His house manners are pretty good, although we are working to break some of his bad habits. He's a perfect gentleman with some hyper-dumb puppy antics. Burton knows to sit before we let him outside or feed him, but it's tough not to jump in excitement a couple of times first! However, he is perfectly kennel, potty, and leash trained. This guy turns into a completely different dog out in public and is always super calm and ready to make friends! Ooh, unless he sees another dog out and about. Then it's too exciting, and he might get a little squirrely, but we're working on containing that energy!

 

All in all, Burton is super friendly and fun to work with! He would thrive in a busy family with kids or other pets; the more friends, the better! You can't help but be happy watching this carefree, lanky guy boing around.
