Welcome the new kid, Earl! Unlike his sullen country song we do not want to say goodbye to this little lover boy.

 

     Earl is going to be a total package with a little patience and training. This handsome man is half comedic entertainer and half down home country kid looking for a family to love. Being a young pup Earl has lost out on some important young socialization in new environments, so we are quickly working on confidence levels with new surroundings and environments. We are seeing a shining new star emerge daily. The SEPR volunteers definitely enjoy taking this hunk out on daily new adventures. 

 

     Earl is a sweet, playful, and adorable puppy who’s in the process of learning the in’s and out’s of his foster home! He is currently learning house manners (sit, stay, look, lay, off) and showing some real progress. Being a puppy, Earl sometimes needs to be reminded of his manners because he can tend to get a little excited.  Sometimes he just need time to chill, so he can fully understand what is being asked of him and that puppy jumping and mouthing is not appropriate for all situations. We say this is the puppy in him and each day he learns a little more!

 

     Earl currently lives with a four legged foster brother, who he really looks up to and have learns a lot from! He love to play with him, and when done playing  they cuddles up on the couch together!  Earl also love to play with squeaker toys, chew on bones, expensive shoes, socks (but never 2 from the same pair). He would do marvelous with a female companion to keep up with his antics and continue to be a role model for this young pup.

 

     Earl is a pro at crate training and house training.  Earl is also a pro at mealtimes - he must sit on his rug, politely shake and then will be allowed to eat his food. His other success accolades are walking great on his gentle leader head harness and riding in the car like a champ. 

 

     When puppy Earl finally tuckers out for the night he must cuddle with his foster dad.  Earl believes cuddling is a full-contact sport which includes on top of you, or very close by while he dreams of more puppy adventures. He loves to relax and burrow himself into pillows and laying on his back is a favorite! 

 

     Earl is looking for that fun loving active forever family who will continue to teach him to be a brave boy and ensures he grows up to be another role model country song.  Is your family the right one to sing - " Hello Earl, your home!"
