Pixie Stixx's is as sweet and petite as the candy she’s named after, but also has a spunky side too! She’s a red-brindle beauty with a perpetually quizzical brow, big expressive eyes and a set of quirky ears second to none.

 

Pixie Stixx's settled into her foster home as she has always been there. She had some kennel anxiety and initially wore a Thundervest, but her two canine foster siblings kenneled company remedied that. She kennels up willingly and stays relatively quiet. However, she does have a touch of FOMO.

 

Pixie Stixx has learned to sit and knows she must wait for her food until her foster mom gives her the ok. She has mastered look, down, leave it, and sit up. Pixie has excellent leash manners as long as she doesn’t come upon other rude dogs who bark at her. Leash reactivity is something her foster mom is working on daily. Pixie is an intelligent lady who is eager to please, and her foster mom is a patient, dedicated dog handler! We have also enlisted the help of Nerdy Canine (a local trainer in Sioux Falls) to help Pixie shine like the little rock star she is.

 

Pixie isn’t a giant fan of toys but enjoys her food puzzles and kong wobblers for meal times. Antlers and nylabones are right up this girls chewing alley for enrichment and good teeth care.

 

Pixie loves the other two other dogs in the house, and they get along very well! She would prefer a home with a friendly, laid-back male canine companion to keep her company or would be fine as an only dog as well. Pixie just wants to be the center of someone's world. She has been spotted snuggling with her foster brother, which is her favorite pastime. If you're looking for a lap warmer this winter, she's your gal!

 

Pixie truly enjoys lounging around at home, and while she can be up for a good adventure or two, it is not a must for this girl. She can be completely content resting on the couch with a good book or movie with her favorite humans.

 

Pixie is the perfect little pocket-size companion. While she does need a solid routine and leadership, she is very low-key and content to lounge once she is settled in her environment. Someone that is wanting a co-pilot for their daily fun activities would be right up Pixie's alley. She has never met a human she didn't love!

 

Pixie will surely make someone’s life much sweeter; maybe it’s yours.
