Perhaps, Alice was looking for her white rabbit when she found herself homeless in the deep south. Luckily, with some help through the looking glass she was granted her escape route and safety to Sioux Empire Pit Rescue this fall. We are not sure exactly what creatures and adventures Alice encountered before landing in the middle of nowhere, but we do know the next adventure will be filled friends, joy, and love.
As a 7 month old puppy she is settling into her foster home quickly. She loves her kennel and settles right down like Cheshire Cat to sleep away her days. Alice also enjoys tea parties with the Mad Hatter while doing some fine dining with her slow bowl and Kong wobbler. She is one bright girl and these challenges are a quick study for such a witty young pup.
Alice is learning that "sit" and "look" commands earn treats and is practicing wait and lay. After a few weeks, she is enjoying the company of all her new friends, Tweedledee (all the family kids) and Tweedledum (her canine sister and brother). Play, play, play, go, go, go true to puppy fashion. Cuddles arrive after being thoroughly drained and played with. Potty training is a work in practice and racing around the back yard is a full time hobby! Once exhausted, she curls up with a soft blanket to use as a pacifier and lull herself to sleep.
More into to come...

case-by-case basis. Raising a puppy properly takes a lot of time, and we understand that in families with small children, time can be a limited commodity.
