abouT BEEF CAKE

Meet SEPR Beef Cake aka Beefy.

Beef Cake was picked up as a stray in a busy Midwest town in August 2021.  He was in an overcrowded shelter, filled with so many other pitties just like him, spending every day for 7 months in the noisy shelter.  The longer he spent at the shelter, the more his stress level began to rise.  As his stress levels rose, it started to show as a general lack of manners, jumping, pulling ect. 

Even though we were full, we made room and squeezed him in.  Beefy will need some solid time to fully decompress from the stressful shelter life, and of course to polish up those manners. But good news…he is a fast learner, already picking up on sit and wait, and learning to walk nicely on his gentle leader and leash. He’s getting a full vet check-up, several baths to wash off the shelter funk, and a good routine to settle in to.

Beefy is just a little guy, with a short nose, snort that comes with the nose, an under bite that makes you wonder how he chews his food, little nub ears, and all he wants is to sit next to you so you can pet him and to be able to relax and be a normal dog.
