Cajun- a bold, spicy flavor. This man certainly can bring the boldness and spiciness to any environment! Do not let his age fool you, he has a wild side! On the flip side, he also shows he can be sweet and cuddly.

 

Cajun has been settling in his foster home pretty quickly. He has completed his heartworm treatment like a pro and is now heartworm NEGATIVE! Cajun was completely unfazed and unaware anything was ever wrong like the true champ he is.

 

Before coming into rescue, Cajun spent his entire life outside.  He hasn’t experienced things normal dogs have encountered, so naturally life became a little scary and stressful in the beginning.  We began with some basic training, which Cajun excelled at learning very quickly because he is a super food junky.  He will do just about anything if you have treats for him. Cajun is even participating in this fall session of "Train-a-bull" to fine tune all his skills for his new adoptive family. But he’s not all business and learning, Cajun enjoys running around and playing with all the toys, he really loves playing with balls in the yard and running around after them… or playing tug with his rope toys. 

 

Cajun learned quickly that he enjoyed some of the finer aspects of living inside such as… couch snuggles… or sunbathing… even bath time with a licki mat isn’t so bad. Making the most of his new life, Cajun likes to go for car rides with his favorite people or nice walks around the neighborhood.  He’s also met the resident dogs of the home, and after some slow introductions he’s doing well with both the big and small dogs. 

 

After spending most of his years outside, it’s time for this handsome man to spend his golden years in luxury.  Cajun would love a nice calm home to retire in, he would love to be a copilot, to go for evening walks, relax curled up on the couch… everything a dog should do. We know seniors rock (he is a VERY young senior), and he will the perfect best friend.
