Chardonnay's sweetness comes through with every encounter. She is still young and has some very complex qualities that make her a delight to experience day in and day out. Chardonnay can be bright and playful but can also be gentle and smooth. She is growing in boldness everyday and we know her true colors will shine through to be the best anyone can ask of a beautiful dog with a bit of a rough beginning.

 

Hi, my name is Chardonnay, I’m new around here but wanted to introduce myself.

 

I’m a young shy girl from the Midwest, like a lot of other pitties, I found myself in a loud noisy shelter looking for a miracle to get me out.  Luck was on my side, and I managed to find a ride to the safety of a new foster home.  Life outside of the shelter is different, and I’m taking some time to adjust.  I don’t like to rush things, I like to do things at my own pace.  Once I’ve had some time to decompress, relax, and get comfortable I’m the sweetest girl you’ll ever meet. 

 

I’m still settling in, but I’m getting more confident as each day passes.  I enjoy calmer activities like trail runs with my foster parents, away from noisy traffic, or pack walks on the bike trail with my adoptable friends.  I walk great in my gentle leader, so no worries about that, I also enjoy walking with my friends at pack walk.  I’m just starting to find the joy of TOYS, so that’s pretty exciting.

 

Aside from trail runs and pack walks, I love to run in the yard, running zoomies around and around… it’s the best… but all that activity can really wear a girl out so I make sure to get my beauty sleep every night…. I love to sleep in.  I also don’t mind bath time or nail time, it’s nice to get pampered once and a while with a mani, pedi, and spa day. 

 

I’m still trying to figure some things out, but what I do know is my best friend is a kitty named Merlin.  Merlin and I love to play, we play hide and seek around the couch… I love having a friend.  I am still working on integrating with the resident dogs, we are taking that slowly… sometimes I can be a bit of a diva…. But hey we all have those days right.

 

I’m just a shy reserved girl, it takes me some time to build trust and feel comfortable, but once you build that trust with me I’ll be your best friend.  I’d love to find a calm family willing to take things slow and build trust, until they come along I’ll keep growing with every new experience.
