They say “Good things come to those who wait” — and wow, are we grateful we didn’t wait any longer to save this incredible boy.

Farley was pulled from euthanasia just in the nick of time, and we can’t imagine a world without this lovable senior gentleman. If we’d delayed even a moment longer, we would’ve missed out on one of the sweetest, sassiest souls around.

 

When Farley first left the shelter, his forever foster family wasn’t quite ready yet, so he spent some time in a few temporary homes. And you know what? Every single foster had the exact same thing to say: He’s just so happy! This guy radiates joy and brings a light-hearted spirit wherever he goes.

 

Now, let’s talk about this charming senior. At around nine or ten years old, Farley is well past the puppy stage (no more chewed shoes!), but he still enjoys life’s little pleasures—like gnawing on his favorite Nylabones or tossing around a plush toy. There’s still plenty of playful spark in this guy!

 

Farley is pretty easygoing and independent, but don’t let that fool you—he’s got a little bit of sass and knows how to work his charm when he wants something. Whether it’s cuddles, treats, or attention, he’s not shy about voicing his adorable demands. It’s all part of his irresistible personality.

 

When he’s feeling affectionate, he’ll nuzzle right into your lap or press his head into your leg like he’s giving you the warmest little hug. It’s a heart-melting moment every single time.

 

Farley has also shown that he could do well in a home with another dog—especially one that’s confident and calm enough to help him settle in. He’s not overly pushy, but he appreciates clear signals and steady energy. As for cats? With continued work on the “leave it” command and some positive reinforcement, we believe Farley could learn to coexist peacefully with feline friends too.

 

When he arrived, Farley was carrying a few extra pounds, so he’s currently on a slimming diet of reduced kibble and healthy veggies (which he’s still learning to love). Already, he’s feeling lighter on his paws, and we know he’ll be thriving in no time with just a little support.

 

Some other Farley favorites? Car rides with the window cracked just enough to sniff the breeze, hanging out in the kitchen while you cook, and curling up in his crate when it’s time to recharge. He really is the perfect mix of mellow, silly, and sweet.

 

We’re learning more about Farley every day, and everything we discover just makes us love him more. This boy deserves nothing less than a loving, stable home where he can enjoy his golden years in comfort and joy.
