Somebody to Love? Freddie Mercury is looking for exactly that.

 

Ladies and gentlemen, the show has officially begun, and Freddie Mercury has entered the building. Tall, handsome, charismatic and completely comfortable working a crowd, this gentle giant may not have a microphone in his paw, but he certainly has enough personality to live up to his legendary namesake.

 

Freddie arrived in foster care ready to embrace his new life, and apparently he had no intention of wasting time on a lengthy adjustment period. Within his first couple of weeks, he had the routine figured out and was happily settling into everything family life had to offer. He also discovered almost immediately that hopping into his crate earns him a slice of American cheese, and frankly, Freddie believes this arrangement should continue indefinitely. A rockstar has standards.

Brains accompany the good looks with this guy. Freddie already knew “sit” and quickly added “down” to his repertoire. He is eager to please, listens beautifully and has been exceptionally gentle taking treats from the very beginning. He is potty trained, eats his meals like a gentleman and even takes baths like a champ. Apparently his rider is remarkably uncomplicated: good food, some cheese, plenty of love and room to stretch those ridiculously long legs.

And Freddie definitely knows how to work a room. His current entourage includes teenagers, three female dogs, senior cats and even kittens, while younger children regularly stop by for guest appearances. Freddie takes the whole production in stride. He genuinely loves people, has enjoyed everyone he has met and seems perfectly content being surrounded by an audience of both the two- and four-legged variety.

When it is time to take the show on the road, Freddie is ready for that too. Outings are no sweat, car rides are a breeze, and he is continuing to work on polishing up his leash manners. Give him a fenced backyard, though, and you’ll see those long legs in their full glory because this boy LOVES to run. Once the zoomies have concluded, he is just as happy being part of whatever his humans have planned next.

For all the fun we can have with his larger-than-life name, there is something wonderfully easy about Freddie himself. He is a happy, social, eager-to-please young dog who has stepped into family life with remarkable ease. He has the confidence to enjoy new experiences, the intelligence to keep learning and the sweet disposition that makes you want him hanging around for the encore.

So, is this the real life? Is this just fantasy? Nope. This tall, handsome, gentle giant really is available for adoption. 

​

Freddie Mercury is ready to find his very own Somebody to Love...a family ready for adventures, laughter, learning and a lifetime of encores together.

Because darling, the show must go on.
