Hartley can be summed up in about eight words: sweet, smart, spunky, snoopy, sassy, stunning, and stellar. These capture quite a bit of her personality so far.

 

While this girl has been through so much at the hands of not-so-great humans, Hartley is so sweet and cute. She loves her people and doesn’t stop giving kisses. We are working on channeling that exuberance, and she is quickly catching on to commands like look, sit, wait, lay down, and recall while also learning the trick to jump up only when asked. Hartley is super bright, especially when treats are involved.

 

As Hartley is obsessed with the bunnies that live in the yard, working on outside recall is a new task to master. She has met some cats and was very curious, but these bunnies taunt her.

 

Hartley is spunky and has a lot of energy. She likes to be a busybody. Hartley loves solving treat puzzles, snuffle mats, and wobbler toys for food time. Hartley would be a great play partner for more lively housemates than her crabby older foster siblings. They get a bit annoyed with the busy little sister. Rarely does she lay down on her own as there are things to do. This brings her to the snoopy part….she is always on the move to learn more, see what is going on and is afraid of missing out on something. She is excellent at going on outings and behaves well in public.

 

Coming out of her shell and being a youngster, she can have a little sassy attitude, especially when she is a “tired” toddler. Hartley likes to be mischievous and often needs a nap. She loves her crate and goes in willingly with a frozen PB kong and some treats. She wants to vocalize her protests for a while and then settles into her crate, where she stays quiet.

 

Hartley has many more happenings coming, but this girl won’t be around for long - stunning and stellar she is!
