Helios, in ancient Greek religion and myth, is the god and personification of the Sun, often depicted in art with a radiant crown and driving a horse-drawn chariot through the sky.

 

SEPR's Helios embodies those heroic and stoic images arriving all the way from the Deep South. Never knowing defeat while battling abandonment, heartworm, and carrying a bacteria known as mycoplasma.  We cannot wait to see this heavenly creature once he is restored to full health and beauty.

 

The world is for his taking! Now that SEPR Helios is feeling better he is able to go on more adventures. He loves to go for car rides or a nice stroll through the hardware store. 

 

SEPR Helios is a fun loving, happy go lucky, boy who likes to lay on his southern charm to those he meets. He can be quite playful and full of energy, especially after a nice nap! SEPR Helios is very kind and gentle when accepting treats. 

 

SEPR Helios enjoys his days playing with his foster siblings Charlie (Great Dane), Turbo (Black Lab), SEPR Alum Friday, and SEPR Alum Golden Nugget. Sometimes Foster Grandpa brings his great Dane Kernal over to play too! If he was given the chance, he would stay outside and enjoy the fresh South Dakota air. Boy does he have a shock coming when the white stuff starts to fall from the sky!

 

SEPR Helios needs to hangout with some feline friends before we know for sure if he would like a feline sibling in his furever home. Stay tuned for update!

 

SEPR Helios' foster parents have not found a food or treat he doesn't like! He loves to put on a show and show how smart he is to get something tasty. He is very polite when accepting treats. 

 

It has taken sometime, but SEPR Helios now understands how a good snuggle feels to the soul. He loves to show his affection through a quick hug or a kiss.

 

He would love it if his furever family had a companion for him to play with, but he would also enjoy being the only furbaby to soak up all the love he can from his mom and dad.
