about Linguine
Nicknames: Gweenie, Gweenie beanie, The gween goblin
Just like her namesake from Disney’s Ratatouille, Linguine’s life started out a bit messy. She came to us from a difficult situation involving a court case. But don't let her nervous start fool you, anyone can cook, and anyone can love!
Linguine came to us with cysts between her toes. Her foster family has been giving her medication to help reduce their size, and we are continuing to work with Dr. Tom on alternatives to help manage this painful problem. Unfortunately, Linguine’s entire bone structure is detrimental to her quality of life, and long-term management will likely be necessary to keep her body comfortable and stable—the result of breeding for “cute” instead of healthy. Otherwise, she is as healthy as Chef Gusteau!
Linguine is a 3-year-old sweetheart who is looking for her own "Little Chef" to guide her. While she can be a bit cautious of strangers at first (she’s just checking to see if you’re a critic like Anton Ego!), she settles in quickly. Once she realizes you’re a friend, she’s all about those five-star reviews in the form of belly rubs and snuggles. This sweet girl loves to be your own little chef and be by your side wherever you go. Have a bad day? Linguine is ready to swoop in with sloppy kisses.

Unlike Anton Ego, this playful little girl is not picky! She will play with just about every toy you can think of! Balls are her favorite! While she doesn't like sharing her toys with her foster siblings, she's learned to play with the big kids. It's the restaurant life for this girl, Linguine loves to be indoors with her favorite people and taste test any recipes you can cook up. If she doesn't like it, she will tell you! Don't be fooled by her small stature, she has a big personality and a lot of attitude. According to her, she's royalty and would expect nothing less than princess status. She is fully housetrained, and will stare at you like you gave her a bad dish when she needs to go. She will sit in the crate quietly, as long as she has lots to lay on and play with. Except for when you are home, she demands to be included.
Linguine will walk next to you like a stroll in Paris. Just don't make her walk too long, her little legs can only make it so far. She loves going with you in the car, and will judge your fast food choices like a proper food critic. Bath time for her is like a good soup, nourishing for the soul. She will drink the water like she is tasting her new masterpiece.
Linguine has been going to training weekly and has been learning to be okay with Vacuums, mechanical noises, and oddly hoola hoops. Her foster parents have been teaching her "touch" and "place". "Place" is a hard concept for Linguine because she doesn't want to stay, she wants to be wherever you are. Linguine picks up training well and also knows how to sit...well at least as much as she can sit with her wittle legs.
Busy kitchen life is not ideal for Linguine. She enjoys cuddling, and occasionally playing, but lots of noise and movement is too much for this little chef. She always feels the need to run the kitchen!
Linguine is ready to spice up your life, no recipe required!
