about LOLA

Aged like fine wine, our retired showgirl Lola is just what you need if you are looking to relax after a long day at work... or just what you need to celebrate going for a short walk, followed by relaxing in the couch or patio... or even your nightcap buddy after going for a quick car ride. She is sweet and cuddly, but not attached at your hip. She's got that independent, but "love you so much" swag down pat!

This lady is nothing short of a wonder woman going through heartworm treatment as a senior and still showing the love! She doesn't mind her crate either. Stays quiet with her Kong and yummies and takes a snooze. The little bit of work she's forced to do has come pretty easy.. learning her commands, she's already mastered sit, lay down, shake and look. Still working on waiting for food.. or even staying in one spot when food is involved. 

Lola straight up loves her food. This is most likely a side effect of not knowing for sure when her next meal would come after living her previous life on a chain. To make up for lost time, she is learning to live in the lap of luxury and takes full advantage of her dog beds. Yes plural. This queen is spoiled! Lola doesn't have much interest in toys or bones yet, but she does have a couple of babies that she will carry around and cuddle.  

Miss Lola lives with 3 foster dogs, 2 that are seniors and one pushing 2 years old. Introductions are on hold due to her heartworm treatment and current rest requirements, but once she feels more herself we will get the intros moving. She has a teen human boy that she absolutely adores and loves everyone in her foster home. We will be working on meeting and greeting some new friends here in the near future.  

One last note for now. This beautiful showgirl is perfectly content lounging around the house all day...she has no complaints! You've never seen a dog more ready for the chill life and the pampering that comes with it. She either doesn't realize how big she is or doesn't care because she loves crawling in a good lap!
