     Meet Mae West! We have no doubt she will live up to her namesake’s star status! Mae takes a little time to show her true personality, but once she’s comfortable her comedic presence will keep you smiling. Mae’s favorite thing in the world is her people (treats come in a close second)! She would love a quieter home as younger kids sometimes scare her with their little voices and ninja moves.

      Mae truly enjoys canine companions that can help bring out her confidence and her playful personality.  Mae loves to show off her spunky side by clumsily chasing the flirt pole around the yard, or tossing up a rope toy or Kong to play independently. She offers a nice dose of comedic relief at the end of a long day! Her information may say “liver and white”, but her foster family thinks “grass green” should also be included. She likes to play like no one is watching, and that includes many tumbles and face plants.

     Mae doesn’t seem to mind the resident cats either! She is curious about them, but mostly because she wants to know if they want to play.

     Mae is wonderful in her crate, and is quickly learning the ins and outs of a solid daily routine to help house training. Mae loves her people and tries her best to make them the happiest people in the world. This includes learning new tricks and commands. While she is still learning, she is picking up on many basic commands quickly! Mae walks nicely on a gentle leader and loves to go on walks. At first Mae’s foster family thought she was scared of car rides. It turns out she knows exactly where she belongs. In the front seat! If you let her ride shotgun, she’s in and out at lightning speed!
