Marshmallow is a type of confectionery that is typically made from sugar, water and gelatin whipped to a solid but soft consistency. It is used as a filling in baking, or normally molded into shapes and coated with corn starch.

​SEPR's Marshmallow is just as amazing as your conventual soft treat! He arrived with an entire list of alignments but has not shown any disdain for his human saviors. Sweet as candy would describe this one best. Although, he has shown us he truly would rather be smothering us with love than confined to a kennel.

 

​Marshmallow is just a young kid, but he has had his fair share of bad luck in his young life. Coming in from Georgia, Marshmallow was loaded with health problems, heartworm positive, broken canine tooth, worms, two different strains of blood-borne tick diseases, and he had been shot at some point. There were too many health issues for one dog, but we weren't about to back down from a challenge. After a round of heartworm injections, dental surgery, 30 days of multiple medications, surgery to remove the pellet he was shot with, and a PCR retest.....we (Marshmallow) are happy to report a clean bill of health.

 

Once healthy, we saw Marshmallow's happy personality shine through. He absolutely loves people, all people..young and old... It doesn't matter he gets equally excited. Snuggs are his favorite thing, a nap right by your side or on the dog bed beside you. One of the perks of a foster home is all the toys. Marshmallow has discovered the fun of toys and loves all sorts of toys.

 

Marshmallow loves a good adventure with his family. Starting with car rides and walks, moving to quiet stores and patios. Marshmallow is always comfortable at home where he can be his silly loving self. A house with a confident canine companion would be preferable; he enjoys the presence of big and small dogs.

 

Marshmallow has quickly caught on to most of his commands. Being treat motivated makes training time easier; he has already mastered the basics of Sit, Down, Come, Leave It, and Look.

 

Marshmallow is very attached to his people and always prefers to be by their side. Having his canine friend kenneled next to him helps, not completely, but he's still working on it. He does have some a sensitive stomach issues and eats dehydrated dog food and healthier treats, like fruits and vegetables!

 

Marshmallow is a lovely, goofy boy who would love nothing more than to be by your side all the time. He doesn't care what you're doing...he's just happy to be with you. We know there's the perfect family out there for this sweet boy; in the meantime, we will love him!
