SEPR has an exciting announcement, we have our very own prince of soul…. SEPR Marvin Gaye!

 

Marvin is new to the program, one of the Georgia Legends, he made the long journey north to South Dakota… just in time for the cold prairie winter!  Even with the cold and snow, Marvin is really loving life in a foster home compared to life in the noisy shelter.

 

Marvin is a young laid back boy who loves to be by your side….Hallmark holiday movie marathon… he will beat you to the couch. Marvin also enjoys outdoor activities, he walks very nicely on his gentle leader so long walks, hikes, 5K….as long as he gets to be with you he is happy.  If you need a little space, Marvin is happy to entertain himself with his favorite toys… which is pretty much any toy… balls, stuffed animals, bones, squeaky toys he loves them all.

 

Marvin is still settling in, getting to experience new places and new faces.  He is a quick learner, already mastered kennel up, sit, shake, and of course house training.  Marvin can be a little excitable, he just loves every human he sees…. and most canine’s he sees for that matter.  He has been working hard on learning that it’s rude to jump on people…even if you’re just trying to tell them how much you love them.  Canine introductions are still in progress, making sure excitement levels are monitored, but things are going well so far. Marvin hasn’t gotten to experience felines yet, but he will add that to his list of things to do in the near future. 

 

If you’re not a fan of clipping nails,  then you’re in luck, Marvin enjoys a good trip to the groomers.  A good bath, new bandana, nails clipped has him feeling like a million bucks…plus he gets to soak up all the attention from the grooming staff!

 

Marvin is just an easy going kid who wants nothing more than to have a person of his own to love.  We are sure this little cutie won’t stick around long, but until his lucky forever person is found he will keep perfecting his skills, adding new commands to his list, new experiences, anything he can do to catch your eye.
