Meet Misty—a Georgia girl whose bubbly personality shines brighter than a springtime shower! Like a refreshing mist on a warm morning, she brings a splash of love, energy, and joy to everyone she meets. She may be riding out a little “rain,” being heartworm positive and navigating some neurological quirks, but her sunny attitude keeps her wagging and shining through it all.

Misty loves to explore—especially on walks where she’s happiest sniffing and soaking up new adventures. When walks aren’t in the forecast, she’s content to settle in with a treat puzzle, Kong, or topple toy—her favorite way to stay busy and brighten her day. When she’s feeling extra playful, Misty tosses around her stuffed animals like little clouds swirling in the sky. (Multiple toys are a must—this girl loves to stay active and entertained!)

She’s a social breeze—dog- and cat-friendly—and an unmistakable people person. Kids age 6 and up, grandma, grandpa—anyone who showers her with attention is her new best friend. Misty is eager to follow you around, be part of the family, and soak up all the love you can give.

​

We’re teaching her some commands—sit, come, look, in (kennel), and leave it—and she’s a quick learner, eager to impress. She does take a moment to get her back legs cooperating with her commands, especially when she’s excited, but with patience and plenty of praise, she’s making great progress.

​

Misty’s looking for a cozy home with lots of carpet to help her stay steady—she can do hardwood floors once she’s a bit more settled, but stairs and slippery surfaces can be tricky at the moment.

​
