Black pepper is the world's most traded spice, and is one of the most common spices added to cuisines around the world. At SEPR, we also feel our Pepper is one of the most valuable and best spices on our adoptable market as well. With a tidge of spice in Peppers personality, this girl is hard not to fall in love with and request companionship at your every meal!

Pepper is a beautiful soul that has blossomed in her foster home.  In her previous life Pepper was saved from a SD cruelty case, so she had to learn things that are routine for most dogs.  But don’t worry, it didn’t take her long to realize the awesome benefits of living in a house.  Learning to love the luxury items like fluffy dog beds, and couches to snuggle on…. and TOYS!  Pepper’s favorite thing is to play with her rope toy, she shakes it around throwing it up in the air and catching it before it hits the floor.  Once she has tired herself out with her rope toy, she will grab the closest bone to chew and take it to her dog bed.

 

Pepper integrated with the resident senior male canine of the house without any issues. The hardest thing she had to do was realize that he doesn’t have the same amount of energy to play as she does… but good thing she is completely content playing with her rope toy by herself! A home with a playful canine male companion would be ideal for this girls confidence levels as well. She thoroughly enjoys interacting and engaging with other well socialized canines. Pepper also had the same amazing personality when it was time to meet some feline friends. With some slow controlled introductions this girl could be successful with dogs or cats!

Pepper has a good grasp and is working hard on totally mastering Look, Sit, Down, Stay, and Wait. Of course she does great with the Drop it and Leave it command when playing with her favorite rope toy. She is still a little hesitant to get into the bath tub, but is easily picked up and placed inside for bathing. Once, in the tub, she doesn’t mind spa time with a little incentive from a peanut butter licki mat. Pepper is a pro when it comes to trimming her nails as she will sit nicely or roll over onto her back. This girl is just as sweet as the days are long.

Pepper enjoys lower key outings to explore the world. She can get excited when she sees her gentle leader and leash and knows it’s time for a car ride. Pepper sits quietly in the backseat and watches the world go by. She can still be overstimulated with too much activity/touching in new settings or environments, but given proper time to observe and take in her surroundings she acclimates well to about any fun adventure. Pepper just wants to be where you are and an intricate part of someone's life.

While Pepper has expanded her world since arriving, she can still be a little timid of loud noises and busy activities. Her ideal home would be someone that can allow her to relax when need be, incorporate her with their daily to do's, and just love her unconditionally for her sweet personality.
