Precious didn’t arrive at SEPR alone, she came with the most important cargo of all, her sweet son Bennett. This little family made their way to us in search of safety, stability, and love. From the moment they stepped through our doors, it was clear her name couldn’t be more fitting.

Though she’s small in size, Precious has a big personality and an even bigger heart. She literally jumps for joy when she sees her people and melts into every cuddle and behind-the-ear scratch offered. Her favorite thing when soaking up affection? Wrapping her paw around your arm and gazing up into your eyes, it’s the kind of look that melts hearts.

This young senior bulldog is equal parts sass, sweetness, and pure fun. Her glossy onyx coat shines as brightly as her smile, and her short little legs carry her “bodybuilder” figure around with pride. She’s managing a bit of arthritis and hip tightness, so she’s staying comfortable with glucosamine supplements and a sensible weight-loss routine, but that doesn’t slow her down one bit.

Precious is fully house and crate trained, and she loves going on walks to explore the world around her! She’s still polishing her leash manners and growing more confident with every car ride, a few treats for encouragement never hurt! Being the low rider she is, she needs a little help getting into the bathtub, but once she’s in, she absolutely enjoys the warm water and extra-good scratches.

She’s a quick learner who thrives during training sessions. Treat-motivated and eager to please, Precious knows sit, wait, down, leave it, and off. She’s currently working on holding her sits and downs for longer periods and is building confidence.

​

Playtime is one of Precious’s favorite parts of the day! She loves romping with her foster brother, showing off her ninja-like agility with zoomies and flips that could put a gymnast to shame. When the fun winds down, she’s all about curling up for a well-earned nap surrounded by her carefully arranged blankies and stuffies.

​

Precious is a spunky, affectionate girl who truly lives on the young side of her heart. She’s ready to find her forever people, the kind who don’t mind a few slobbery kisses and appreciate her blend of charm, loyalty, and joy. She would thrive in a home with a canine sibling to play with before settling in for snuggles.

Watching this resilient girl blossom reminds us exactly why rescues matter, because every life saved is, well… Precious. 🌻
