about SOFIE

Sofie is a name of Greek origin meaning wisdom and wise, and resembles cleverness and skill! Sofie is wise beyond her young years and loves with her whole heart. She loves people and a good ball!  Sofie came into the rescue with a willingness to live at full speed with a permanent smile on her face! 

Sofie is still learning to slow down and snuggle with her people, but when she does, she is one that snuggles hard and settles in for a good nap.  She loves to snuggle with her human foster sister.  Her favorite spot is perching on the arm rest of the couch in between Foster Mom and Foster Dad.

She loves to keep herself entertained by emptying out the toy box and making sure each bone gets attention. If there is a ball involved, she will play with it for hours.  Ball is life!

Sofie is working on mastering her commands and loves showing off her skills to new people. You can put this sweet girl in a sit stay, and she will stay there until you return, or release her from her duty.  She loves to please her people, and on rare occasion if she does something she shouldn’t, she will make sure she apologizes and shows you she can do better.  Sofie loves to go on walks and gladly wears her gentle leader.

Sofie is still learning that new fury friends can be her friends!  She is determined to not let her past dictate her future.  She loves to run and play in the back yard.  When the neighbor dog comes out, she will bark a “hello” and go about her business.  On the rare occasion she isn’t playing, she will stop and hang out and watch her foster brother Fred the bearded dragon. We do not know if Sofie likes feline friends, but we do not she has no problem being an only child!  Only one condition, she must be your sidekick and go on adventures!

Sofie is a pro at putting herself to bed!  You just need to ask, “Are you ready for bed?” or “time for bed” and she happily trots to her room and goes into her kennel.  She must have her friend “Moosie” with her when she sleeps.  Sofie sleeps through the night and greets you with a smile in the morning!  After breakfast she makes sure Moosie comes out to play and never too far away from her.    

Sofie has the sweetest disposition and loves everyone she meets.  Her butt never stops wiggling with pure joy.  This girl is ready for her furever family so she can shower them with all the love she has in her tiny body.
