We are absolutely delighted to introduce you to Tyson, a magnificent 10-year-old gentleman who has recently become a cherished member of the Sioux Empire Pit Rescue family. This big-hearted lad is not only strong in stature but even stronger in spirit, and he’s eagerly awaiting a loving forever home where he can thrive and enjoy the golden years of his life.

Life has thrown Tyson some unexpected challenges; he lost his previous family due to significant changes involving young children in the household. But don’t let that discourage you! This distinguished boy is ready for a fresh start, and he’s on the lookout for a tranquil retirement home filled with love, comfort, and plenty of play.

Tyson is both house trained and crate trained, proving to be a fantastic companion for any environment. He has a playful spirit and an undeniable love for toys! Whether he’s gnawing on a squeaky toy or snuggling with a plushie, Tyson never fails to bring joy and laughter into your home.

​

We’ve ensured that Tyson is in tip-top shape by addressing his dental health and monitoring his skin condition with daily Apoquel and a grain-free diet. He is well on his way to being the healthiest version of himself!

Tyson deserves a forever home filled with cozy blankets, delicious kibble, and undying affection. If you’re prepared to open your heart and home to this sweet senior, Tyson is ready to meet you with wagging tails and puppy-dog eyes!

Tyson's Special Skills: He's a champ at commands like “sit” and “leave,” though he’s eager to learn more – with a little practice on “down,” “wait,” and “release,” he’ll be a star! This clever boy has never had an accident indoors or in his kennel, making him a wonderful addition to any family.

​

While Tyson can be a bit stubborn when it’s time for bed, a few treats will help him settle into his kennel like a pro. With proper introductions, he enjoys the company of other dogs, big and small, and shows an interest in cats—which he finds quite tempting to chase!

​

This lovable fellow adores car rides and leisurely walks. Although bath time isn't his favorite, he will tolerate it if you promise treats afterward. For a senior boy, Tyson has an abundance of energy! He loves to chew on his toys, take long strolls, and even chase his tail in pure delight.

​

At the end of the day, Tyson is the sweetest companion you could ask for. He finds joy in curling up on the couch with his foster family, soaking in the warmth and comfort of love.
