Meet The Breakfast Club!  Claire's nine wiggly puppies arrived just hours after we welcomed her into their foster home.  The Breakfast Club was born overnight on July 12, 2019 and will be ready for their forever homes starting in early-to-mid September.  The Breakfast Club includes: Lucky Charms (M - adopted), Captain Crunch (M - adopted), Fruit Loops (F - adopted), Apple Jacks (M - adopted), Special K (F - adopted), Coco Puff (M - adopted), French Toast Crunch (M - adopted), Pop Tart (M - adopted), and Count Chocula (M - available).

     While they are spending their time in rescue, The Breakfast Club is going to be learning all about this new world of theirs.  They will be meeting lots of different people, have lots of different experiences, and do their best to become great breed ambassadors in their forever homes.  The pups have a lot to learn, though!  They will be working through the Puppy Culture protocols, which is a program that starts with our fosters and volunteers helping set the puppies up for success in their future families! 

 

     While these pups are learning all their can to be outstanding family members, their future families also need to understand the responsibility they have to continue our work.  The learning doesn't stop at 8 weeks old.  You can learn more about why the first 12 weeks of a puppy's life is so important by watching this Puppy Culture video. In fact, a puppy's education lasts for years.  All Breakfast Club adopters will need to understand the amount of work and responsibility that is involved with bringing a baby puppy home.  Because of this, families with children 4 years of age and under wanting to adopt puppies will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Raising a puppy properly takes a lot of time, and we understand that in families with small children time can, understandably, be a very limited commodity.
