Maple is just as sweet as maple syrup. She has rested up from her journey from Georgia to Sioux Falls. Leaving a life of breeding behind with SEPR Roux, this pair is enjoying being cared for and loved as they always should have been. After years of outside neglect, sadly, she was heartworm-positive.

 

While this sweet treat sailed through heartworm treatment, her loving personality and radiant smile never dulls. Maple is learning many new training and behavior commands every day. She also has a sweet tooth for any food! We are happy to report Maple is now heartworm negative!

 

Maple quickly realizes that she routinely loves to participate in human affection and attention. She often wants to be the star of everyone's conversation and focus, offering her belly for a good rub. With the colder winters she is not used to, she easily allows her paws to be wiped and dressed in her dog coat with no objections.

 

Maple is working on all commands, and we have sit, look, laydown, sit up, come under her accolades. She attended winter "Train-a-bull" classes to fine-tune her canine skills and manners. She loves treats, but the tricks are a new experience. 

 

Maple enjoys walking on her gentle leader and leash. She is always excited to meet everyone out on her daily adventures. Maple loves to relax with a veggie-filled kong or nylonbone. Her favorite pastime hobby is being near her people, even napping beside them.

 

While Maple was not an initial fan of being kenneled alone, she came around with a solid routine she can count on. She always keeps a clean kennel and is almost 100% house-trained. She sleeps in her kennel most of the time; however, she is okay with sleeping next to you on the couch or bed. After spending most of her life with SEPR Roux, we know she would enjoy a home with him or another nice male companion to keep her company.

 

Maple loves playing in the backyard and rolling around in the grass. She likes to play with her tennis balls and anything with a squeaker. When playing in the backyard, she has a cute hop when she goes after her ball.

 

Maple has the most gorgeous eyes, and it is hard to say no to those eyes. She can undoubtedly melt even the coldest of hearts. Maple does snore a little bit but is pretty cute with her puppy dreams. She is likely dreaming of a fun forever family that has adventures and adores her as much as we do.
